JOB TITLE:  Accountant   

EMPLOYER:  Nackard Pepsi, Flagstaff, AZ  

DEPARTMENT: Accounting                                      

REPORTS TO: Eric Cuebas, Controller 

EFFECTIVE DATE: 4/1/25

POSITION: Full-Time, Salary, starting range: $50,000-60,000/yr (experienced based)

SCHEDULE:  

• Monday-Friday, 8-5pm, on-site, hour lunch break

SUMMARY: Computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares general ledger journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
• Generates and files monthly financial reports
• Assists in developing, analyzing, and preparing periodic financial statements for timely distribution to management
• Assist in auditing cash vault
• Assists with budget preparation
• Prepares and analyzes monthly journal entries
• Performs weekly cash exchange at local bank
• Assists with annual external audits
• Analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts
• Prepares account analyses and reconciliation
• Process payroll for employees
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 0-2 years related experience in an accounting function
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
