The Architect/Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems to meet the compliance, regulatory and protection requirements for the ProHealth Care enterprise. In this role, while supporting the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) the Architect/Sr. Security Engineer will have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Develop a complete understanding of a company’s technology and information systems Design, build, implement and support enterprise-class security systems Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge Plan, research, and design robust security architectures for any IT project Create solutions that balance business requirements and information and cybersecurity requirements Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements Collaborate with vulnerability assessments and incident response needs You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 5+ years information security experience with focus in cybersecurity/risk management 3+ years of experience working with security protocols, encryption, authentication, authorization and security 3+ years of experience working with multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management or related technologies Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare Experience/knowledge in CISSP, ITIL, CISM and/or ISO 27001 Experience with HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, PCI Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, compliance Experience implementing security solutions Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, email inspection and sandboxing, intrusion detection and preventions systems, endpoint detection and response Deep understanding of the current threat landscape and associated risks In-depth knowledge of threat intelligence lifecycle Proven ability to research and analysis Proven project management and project delivery skills Proven high attention to detail Proven problem-solving skills Proven critical thinking skills *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
