Position Description The
Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to teach required and elective graduate and undergraduate courses in Public Administration. The Department awards the Bachelor of Public Administration degree and the Master of Public Administration degree.
Applicants must be able and willing to teach required and elective undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration day and evening courses in San Marcos and Round Rock, Texas.

Required Qualifications 1. Earned Ph.D. degree in public administration, or a related field from an accredited university at the time of appointment.
2. Potential for, or a record of research and scholarly publication in public policy and administration.
3. Demonstrated ability or potential to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public policy in three instructional modalities-in-person, fully-distant, and hybrid-across the program curricula in public administration.
Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level in public administration
2. Experience in teaching courses in three instructional modalities - in-person, fully-distant, and hybrid, across the program curricula in public administration.
3. Experience and/or Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas), video conferencing (e.g., Zoom), spreadsheets, databases, and data analysis.
4. Relevant experience in presenting at professional public administration conferences, seminars, and workshops
5. Experience in writing, submitting and administering grants
6. Knowledge and/or experience in working in diverse, multicultural, and international environments.
