Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet both client expectations and company standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, able to work well under pressure, and thrive in a team-driven environment. Specializing in general contracting, preconstruction, construction management, and design/build services, they are known for successfully managing complex and challenging projects across a diverse portfolio that includes educational institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies, and private corporations. Description Support the Project Manager in all phases of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Assist with coordination between subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely progress and adherence to project plans. Track and document project progress, including budget updates, change orders, and schedule adjustments. Help manage and enforce safety standards on-site, ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring timely updates on project milestones. Proactively identify potential challenges and work with the Project Manager to resolve issues early. Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, reports, and schedules. Profile The ideal Assistant Project Manager will be an eager and proactive team player with a strong attention to detail. They should have a foundational understanding of construction processes and a desire to grow their skills in project management. The successful candidate will be adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. They must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with others, and a positive, problem-solving attitude. A willingness to take ownership of their tasks while supporting the broader project goals is essential. Job Offer Base Salary : $85,000-$100,000. Monthly Allowances : $300 car allowance. $125 technology allowance. Bonus : Typically 10% annually. Additional Benefits : Comprehensive medical, health, and dental insurance.
