Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and be proficient in various accounting software. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• High volume AP/AR
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Maintain general ledger entries and prepare monthly financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulations.
• Utilize financial software, including Sage, for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
• Conduct governmental accounting tasks as required.
• Process payroll and manage employee records accurately.
• Prepare tax returns and assist with audits as necessary.
• Provide support in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
• Collaborate with management to improve financial processes and reporting.

Skills

• Proficient in double entry bookkeeping principles.
• High volume AP/AR.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation techniques.
• Cost accounting.
• Job cost reports.
• Executive level reporting
• Experience with construction accounting practices is a plus.
• Experience using Sage or similar financial software is preferred.
• Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and reporting standards.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Contract management.
• Customer and vendor relations.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
• Good communication skills for collaboration with team members and management.
