Job Description

In this dual-role position, you will utilize your expertise in CAD software to design custom products and solutions, primarily focusing on sneezeguard applications and related projects. You will also be responsible for producing accurate and timely quotations for these custom projects, collaborating with the sales team, customers, and manufacturer’s representatives to ensure all specifications are met.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create detailed 2D and 3D models of custom sneeze guard applications and other related products using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD,Creo, Revit).Develop clear, precise technical drawings and schematics for use in manufacturing and construction.
2. Ensure designs meet all regulatory requirements, including health and safety standards.
3. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and sales teams to refine designs based on customer feedback and project specifications.
4. Perform design revisions and adjustments as necessary based on project updates or changes in requirements.
5. Analyze project specifications and customer requirements to prepare accurate quotations for custom sneeze guard projects.
6. Calculate material costs, labor, and any additional overheads to generate precise and competitive quotes.
7. Respond promptly to requests for quotes (RFQs), ensuring all client needs are addressed.
8. Provide guidance and technical support to the sales team, ensuring that all quotes are clear and complete.
9. Track and follow up on quotation submissions, adjusting as needed based on customer feedback or changes in project scope.
10. Serve as the point of contact between design, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution from quotation to completion.
11. Provide technical insights and support during the project planning and execution stages.
12. Maintain accurate records of designs, revisions, and quotations for future reference.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with a strong portfolio of custom design projects (preferably including sneeze guards or related products).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit).
• Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and design for manufacturability.
• Experience with creating and interpreting technical drawings, 3D models, and calculations.
• Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to sneeze guards and public health standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for producing high-quality, accurate work.
• Ability to prepare cost-effective and competitive quotations for custom projects.
• Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Some domestic travel required. Up to 10%.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

• Experience with project management tools or software is a plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in sneeze guard production (e.g., acrylic, glass, aluminum).
• Ability to troubleshoot design issues and provide creative solutions.

EDUCATIONAL OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Design , Drafting Technology , or a related field is preferred.
