Title : Category Manager, Contract Manufacturing

Overview : A leading client in the metals manufacturing space is looking to bring on a candidate to lead their category and sourcing strategy for outsourced manufacturing suppliers across their North America region. Responsibilities:

1. Manage procurement activities across external vendors for surface treatment and fabrication services.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations, finance, sales, etc.).
3. Develop and implement category strategies for subcontracting.
4. Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
5. Ensure cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing.
6. Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts.
7. Support business units in achieving procurement goals.
8. Conduct market analysis and identify new sourcing opportunities.
9. Manage risk and ensure business continuity in the supply chain.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related fields (10+ years preferred).
3. Experience with subcontracting (outsourced manufacturing) categories.
4. Proven ability to lead and participate in project teams.
5. Strong strategic approach to spend categories or supply base.
6. Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
