About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team. The CFO will be a key partner in maintaining the financial operations, providing insightful reports and analyses, and establishing procedures to ensure the organization's fiscal health. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced financial executive with a background in high-level management, particularly in nonprofit or cultural institutions. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, familiar with generally accepted accounting principles, and possess strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Specific responsibilities for the CFO include managing all financial aspects, acting as the primary staff contact for the Board's finance and investment committees, and developing long-range financial plans in line with the organization's strategic priorities. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and 5 to 8 years' experience in a leadership finance role, particularly in cultural or nonprofit settings. Knowledge of GAAP, accrual-based accounting practices, and experience with annual audits are essential.
