Overview: Civil Engineering EIT - Hydraulic/Hydrology Role Description : Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Hydraulic/Hydrology Civil Engineering EIT at our Phoenix office. The role will work collaboratively in a team environment providing engineering design for public works projects. This position has significant growth opportunities for the right candidate. Location: Phoenix, Arizona Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): Registered Engineer-In-Training, or working towards an EIT Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) Duties: Preparing drainage calculations and reports Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage analysis and design, FEMA permitting, and construction documents for a wide range of water resources projects for both public and private clients Analysis and design will include use of HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, XPSWMM, Infoworks, Civil 3D and CivilStorm Drainage tools. Our projects require the application of cutting-edge software and engineering judement to develop sustainable solutions for our clients Key Responsibilities: Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business process. Productively collaborates with others and leads or encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other. Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Ensures quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations. Understands duties and responsibilities, possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills, maintains job knowledge current. Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the project team and office. Complete assignments on-time, within budget, and with highest level of quality. Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish assignments. Qualifications: ~ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) ~0-4 years related experience ~ Registers Engineer-In-Training(EIT), or working towards an EIT ~ HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, XPSWMM, Infoworks, Civil 3D and CivilStorm Drainage tools ~ Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel ~ Capability to utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D ~ Strong organizational skills ~ Good Communication Skills ~ Works well in a Team Environment ~ Thorough attention to detail ~ Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques ~ Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects This position is also required to adhere to Huitt-Zollars Core Value Competencies.
