Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience in carrying out test procedures, and using special methods for data collation and interpretation. Fluent in Malayalam. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows.
Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (or foreign equivalent) in Psychology. Experience with database management. Experience working with clinical and research databases. Experience with telephone interviewing. Experience with project management. Experience working with statistical software.
Brief description of duties: This position will work in the Department of Neurology to implement research protocols for the Aging in Kerala Americans Research study. The ideal applicant will have the ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities and will have outstanding interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant will also have excellent organizational, oral, written and analytical communications skills.
Duties: - Enroll and administer informed consents.
- Develop population lists for recruitment, conduct telephone recruitments and follow-up interviews, and do study mailings.
- Conduct patient interviews, cognitive tests, mobility assessments, quantitative gait measurements, and backup quality control of all activities.
- Conduct bimonthly follow-up interview with participants.
- Maintain computer databases of study data.
- Enter data into paper and computerized forms, review forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform other related duties, such as studies, surveys or assessments as requested by investigator.
- Other duties as assigned.
