Regional manufacturer's corporate office has a full time position for a corporate controller. This position directs the operations and policies of the accounting department. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental, financial, and tax regulations and other compliance standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll.
• Monitors and evaluates accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
• Oversees overall monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.
• Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
• Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledges, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Develops procedures to improve existing financial systems.
• Coordinates preparation of external audit material and external financial reporting.
• Reviews financial statements with management personnel.
• Inventory reserve

Directly supervises 2 employees in the Accounting Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

Five to seven years experience in accounting within a manufacturing plant.

Knowledge of AX Accounting software; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Certified Public Accountant required.
