Job Description

The Credential Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing sales of credentials by developing and coordinating leads within the Vingcard sales strategy and process. This role requires close communication and coordination with front desk managers, general managers and others at hotel properties. This role also requires coordination between Inventory manager, AMS personnel and Credential BDM. The role focuses on branded hotels and the Vingcard stock that is in inventory.

This is an on-site position based in the Plano, TX HQ.

Primary Focus Duties, and Deliverables:

  • Achieve assigned Branded Keycards sales target
  • Mine provided data to identify opportunities to quote and bid on branded keycards where Vingcard locks are installed
  • Makes proactive outbound telephone calls and emails to assigned customer base to promote keycards and other credentials
  • Provide management with current competitive information on a continuing basis, including competitive pricing, policy changes
  • Submit accurate and timely reporting of pertinent sales activities
  • Increase product and brand awareness by representing organization in a professional manner
  • Properly enters customer information, document and verifies customer orders, billing and shipping addresses for invoicing and tracking purposes.
  • Recruit customers to reorder from our eStore, educates them on benefits and promotes eStore Specials.
  • Responsible for follow-up on all credential sales related issues, maintains quality assurance of customer tickets or call logs, monitors order status and backlogs for delayed orders.
  • Escalates calls to appropriate departments and senior management as needed.
  • Projects a favorable image over the phone and face-to-face when interfacing with the internal and external community.
  • Communicate information timely and accurately to customers, and follow-up with any requests for additional information
  • Ensure a positive customer experience and develop lasting relationships
  • Secures new accounts while managing and growing sales revenue by continuing reoccurring orders of converted accounts either directly or through eStore
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends
  • Stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales
  • Create and execute product promotions to drive sales
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skill Requirements and Performance Criteria:

  • Ideal candidate will have a background of meeting and exceeding quota in technical or hospitality sales, preferably both
  • Experience selling within the hospitality industry; hotel and lodging sector
  • Must be self-driven, energetic and ambitious
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong business and technical aptitude
  • Must have a demonstrated track record of working under minimal direct supervision
  • 3 to 5 years customer service or call center experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of the hospitality industry is a plus.

Education/Certification Level:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Some college level course work up to a 4 year degree is desired.

Software and Technical Skills:

  • Daily use of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM
  • Knowledge of MS AX is a strong plus or familiarity with other ERP systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
