JOB SUMMARY: The DEI Advocate Work Study provides administrative and advisory assistance to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. • Assist with administrative duties
• Participate in college committee work such as the Equity Advisory Committee
• Liaise with external stakeholders
• Consult on matters critical to equity, belonging, and social justice

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE:

• Previous office work experience.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• The person needs to be a self-starter, self-directed, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task.
• Strong organizational, phone and writing skills are required as well as an attitude of serving and putting the customer first.
• Experience building bridges across human difference.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and web are preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position requires working at a computer, typing, sitting, and standing.

This position requires use of office equipment such as computers, printers, telephones, copiers, adding machines, fax machines, and scanners. Columbia Gorge Community College
