Our client is seeking a Director of Communications to join their team! The Director of Communications is responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies to build brand awareness, engage target audiences, and drive participation in programs and events. This role oversees external communications, media relations, and manages a team of specialists and vendors. The Director ensures alignment with brand standards and collaborates with internal teams to achieve organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute cohesive communication strategies to enhance brand visibility and member engagement.
• Define and manage brand identity to ensure clear messaging and consistent visual adherence.
• Lead media relations efforts and serve as the primary contact for media inquiries.
• Create and manage the content calendar to ensure consistent messaging across platforms.
• Lead a creative team and provide tactical support to internal stakeholders.
• Oversee communication channels and platforms, including websites, social media, email, and more.
• Measure and report on campaign performance, making data-driven optimizations.
• Manage annual communications budgets and track ROI.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or PR with proven success in omni-channel campaigns.
• Expertise in digital and traditional marketing communications.
• Strong project management and budget management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with non-profits, associations, or academic institutions preferred.
• Some evening/weekend work and occasional travel required.
