Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSSE management systems, procedures, and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. 2. Conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards. 3. Creating and delivering comprehensive HSSE training programs for employees at all levels. 4. Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. 5. Liaising with regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders, and external contractors to ensure HSSE compliance. 6. Leading the emergency response team and coordinating emergency preparedness plans. 7. Monitoring and reporting on HSSE performance, trends, and improvement plans. 8. Keeping abreast of new legislation and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of industry HSSE best practices. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Safety Manager role will possess the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HSSE management within the energy industry. 3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent certification is preferred. 4. Proven experience in developing and implementing HSSE policies and procedures. 5. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations. 6. Excellent leadership and team management skills. 7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex safety information to all levels of the organization. 8. Proficiency in using safety management software and technology. 9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 10. Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and high-pressure situations. 11. Willingness to travel to various company sites as required.
