Job Description

Title: Environmental Project Manager

Location: Texas (Hybrid)

Duration: Permanent Hire

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Ecological Science, Environmental Policy, Geology, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of related experience, including 3-4 years of project-related experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Applicable experience in Texas and knowledge of Texas’s threatened and endangered species, ecosystems, and vegetation preferred.

  • Excellent teamwork and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including permits under:

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

  • Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver proposals and reports

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management and technical support for ecology and environmental permitting projects and proposals.
  • Propose, plan, execute, and manage projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients in the Southeast.
  • Prepare proposals (scoping and pricing).
  • Manage environmental projects across mining, energy, and other sectors.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter who can provide program / project management and technical support to ecology and environmental permitting projects and proposals. The candidate will be responsible for proposing, planning, executing and managing projects of varying complexity with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires strong collaboration skills, project management, and client engagement in support of our Clients in Texas / Oklahoma, as well as experience with proposal preparation (scoping and pricing).
