Events & Sponsorships Manager Overview:
L.E.K. Consulting is looking for an experienced professional to lead our events and sponsorships activities as an integral part of our US go-to-market and sales enablement team. The Events & Sponsorships Manager will play an instrumental role in managing and executing the firm’s external events and sponsorship strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This individual will oversee end-to-end event and sponsorship planning, execution, and analysis, helping to strengthen client relationships, elevate the firm’s brand, and contribute to revenue growth. Working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strategic thinking, and deliver operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for client & market-facing events, including industry conference sponsorships & events, trade shows, hospitality events, and firm-hosted executive roundtables, receptions, conferences and other content-rich events.
  2. Event & Sponsorship Execution: Manage all aspects of event planning, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor management, contract negotiation, branding, logistics, and on-site execution.
  3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with go-to-market, business development, marketing and client-serving teams to create tools, messaging, and other assets that enhance client engagement before, during and after events.
  4. Data, Analytics & Reporting: Track event and sponsorship metrics, analyzing performance against objectives and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  5. Budget & Operations Management: Manage event budgets, including accruals, expense tracking, and financial reconciliation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business management, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in event management and sponsorship strategy, ideally within a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) or similar credential preferred.
  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale events, sponsorships, and client-facing programs.
  • Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%) for event execution and oversight.

  • In New York, the base salary is between $125,000 - $165,000 (USD); placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level. L.E.K. also offers a performance bonus, profit sharing and other benefits.
