Banko Overhead Doors is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Garage Door Installer Apprentice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn and develop skills in garage door and opener installation while working under the guidance of a Lead Priority Installer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with all aspects of garage door and opener installations.

- Learn and understand the fundamentals of new construction installs, and transition to custom installations and homeowner retrofit installs.

- Work closely under the supervision of a Lead Priority Installer for a one-year apprenticeship.

- Ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites.

- Participate in job site clean-up to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

- Lift and handle garage door components and equipment, with the ability to lift 70 lbs independently and assist with lifting 90+ lbs.

- Collaborate effectively as part of a two-man installation team.

- Deliver excellent customer service to both homeowners and builders.

Qualifications:

- High attention to detail is critical.

- At least 2 years of experience in construction or related field.

- Ability to work well in the field and cooperate with others.

- Strong commitment to providing quality customer service.

- Physically capable of handling the lifting requirements.

Compensation:

- This is an hourly position starting at $22 per hour.

- Performance evaluations will be conducted at six months and annually, with potential for pay adjustments based on performance.

- Full benefits package including 401k (health, dental, vision, life) available after 90-days.

Training and Certification:

- Apprentices will receive certification from Banko University after completing the first 90 days, at six months, and at one year.

- Upon successful completion of the one-year apprenticeship, and based on performance, quality, and leadership skills, there may be an opportunity to advance into a Lead Installer role.
