Job Description

My client, a well-established civil contractor in the Atlanta area, is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee and manage large-scale construction projects. They need a hands-on leader who can ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site.
• Lead and manage field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to address challenges and ensure smooth workflow.
• Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.
• Mentor and develop superintendent and field staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in civil or heavy construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and quality control.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as needed.
