Description:
The Government Affairs Intern supports the team by conducting research, monitoring legislation, and assisting with the development of advocacy materials, while also providing administrative and logistical support for events and initiatives. This position will be part of a team that works to shape legislation and advocacy efforts in order to advance PCPC’s strategic legislative priorities and policy goals.
Requirements:Essential Functions Statement(s)
· Conduct state and federal policy research.
· Analyze legislation and draft advocacy materials.
· Draft memos, presentations, and other materials for government affairs initiatives.
· Support overall advocacy efforts with event coordination and general administrative duties.
· Coordinate with internal team including legal & regulatory, communications & public affairs, science and global.
· Fulfill other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Strong research and analytical skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Interest in public policy and government affairs.
· Ability to stay up to date on public policy and geopolitical topics.
