Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our HVAC service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring high-quality service, maintaining customer satisfaction, and improving the efficiency of our HVAC service offerings. The HVAC Service Manager will also work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise a team of HVAC service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.

• Schedule and assign service calls to technicians based on their skills and availability, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.

• Monitor technician productivity, quality of work, and customer satisfaction to meet company standards and goals.

• Maintain and oversee the service departments' workflow, ensuring service requests are completed within established time frames.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex service issues, acting as a point of escalation for difficult customer situations.

• Ensure all service work is completed in compliance with safety codes, industry standards, and company policies.

• Develop and implement effective training programs for technicians to improve skill sets, safety awareness, and customer service.

• Manage and monitor the department's budget, ensuring the team stays within financial parameters while meeting performance goals.

• Assist with the procurement of necessary parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring inventory levels are adequate and cost-efficient.

• Foster strong relationships with clients by maintaining high standards of customer service and responding to concerns in a timely manner.

• Prepare and submit service reports, including job costs, revenue, and other departmental metrics, to senior management.

• Stay up to date on industry trends, HVAC technology, and safety regulations to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.

• Assist with recruitment and hiring of new technicians when needed.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC certification or relevant technical training preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, installation, and maintenance practices.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of technicians.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging service situations with professionalism.

• Outstanding communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Proficient in using HVAC service management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).

• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including indoors, outdoors, and on rooftops or in confined spaces.

• Occasional travel to customer locations, with the flexibility to adjust to different work schedules.
