Line Service Technician is responsible for overseeing several important duties related to the extraordinary service experience and overall care for guests that visit our airport. The Line Service Technician will provide fueling and defueling service, transportation of passengers, towing or moving aircrafts and operating fuel trucks. The Line Service Technician interacts closely with airport staff, flight crews and high-profile clientele. The Line Service Technician must be highly motivated with a passion for taking care of others, a self-starter, focus on accuracy, ability to operate vehicles in a safe and professional manner, and be able to maintain an overall organized working environment.

Line Service Technician Key Responsibilities Include:

• Provide a wide range of Aircraft and customer support services in a safe and professional manner.
• Interact with customers and team members in a positive manner.
• Handle radio communications clearly, both on air-ground transmissions and with the line service.
• Greet, park, tow, move, wing walk and marshal aircrafts arriving and departing ramp area.
• Assist passengers and/or crew with baggage/cargo, ice, coffee, catering, etc. as needed.
• Provide shuttle service for passengers/crews required.
• Ability to operate fuel trucks in a safe manner. Fueling/Defueling aircraft as requested.
• Provide service to aircraft using ground support equipment, e.g. use of Ground Power Unit (GPU) for aircraft engine starts and ground power, use of lavatory cart and emptying procedures, etc. including repositioning.
• Routine daily quality control inspections and procedures of refueling vehicles and fuel farms as ell as associated record keeping.
• Assist with general housekeeping and clearing of debris from ramp, building, hangar and customer areas.
• Dispense fuel in a safe manner.
• Provide oil services for aircraft as needed.
• Reloading fuel vehicles with appropriate fuel
• Gauging of fuel farm tanks, fuel trucks daily and receiving of fuel farm inventory.
• Routine equipment maintenance, upkeep (including cleaning and refueling company vehicles), fuel trucks and equipment.
• Interact with others in a professional and respectful manner.
• Recommend process and communication improvements.
• Regular and prompt attendance.
• Assist with after-hours arrivals and departures as scheduled.
• Work with accuracy, clarity, and an eye for detail.
• Provide great customer service.
• Cross train with other departments as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current driver license and clean driving record.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer focused environment.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment
• Previous experience providing airport terminal services.
• Previous experience transporting, loading, and unloading fuel preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge through the local airport authority.
