About the Role

The Company is seeking a National Team Managing Director to oversee all aspects of the National Team program, including high performance, athlete and coach services, funding, and operations for both pool and open water training and competitions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the U.S. National Team at international events, developing and maintaining strong relationships with athletes, coaches, and key external stakeholders, and ensuring the success of the National Team at the highest levels of competition. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in coaching at the national and international levels, as well as the ability to build and foster relationships with various organizations, including the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee and the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Applicants for the National Team Managing Director position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years experience as a swim coach, with a focus on elite-level athletes, and a background in international sport. The role requires exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and strategic planning skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, changing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the structures and operations of the USOPC, NCAA, and World Aquatics, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities also include leading the National Team Division, managing the budget, and directing athlete and coach development programs. The position is based in Colorado Springs and involves extensive travel, both domestically and internationally.
