Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch on a daily basis. This role involves cutting piping to length and brazing it together according to custom requirements for each customer. You will work off blueprints as needed and assist in assembling the housing for the racks. The job requires a lot of physical movement, including bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Mechanical assembly experience.
• Proficiency in brazing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with hand tools and tape measures.
• General labor skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ months of mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction experience.
• Ability to use a tape measure for precise measurements.
• Experience in welding, particularly MIG welding, is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude, such as experience repairing machinery or working on cars.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing building where units are built in teams of 3-4 people. It is a fast-paced, well-lit environment that is kept clean, though the nature of the work means getting dirty is inevitable. The hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided to maintain airflow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required every day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
