Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Perform all aspects of mechanical and electrical assembly, including but not limited to sealers, heat tunnels, and sub-assemblies. The process includes pulling stock from the warehouse, building devices, performance testing, and troubleshooting errors. Assist in various areas of the shop as needed, including sawing, punch press, machining, deburring, and metal finishing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical devices, including but not limited to sealers and heat tunnels.
• Read and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and/or schematics.
• Pull parts from inventory to assemble devices.
• Complete paperwork such as work orders, forms, and checklists.
• Test, troubleshoot, and inspect assembled products for defects.
• Recommend updates to assembly procedures and documentation as necessary.
• Help out in sawing, punch press, machining, deburring, and metal finishing when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventories and participate in cycle counting.
• Train other co-workers as needed.
• Work safely and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Experience with assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools such as drills, impact drivers, socket sets, and wrenches.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow assembly instructions.
• Pass a background check.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
