We're seeking a Meter Reader in Conley, GA. Weekly pay every Thursday with Full-Time work hours each week.

Essential Functions:

Reads meters on assigned routes throughout the County: utilizes automated meter reading systems and
equipment; recommends route alignments to improve reading efficiency.

Performs audits for out of range, high usage, low usage and possible stopped readings for residential and non- residential metered accounts.

Responds to customer complaints and questions investigates water leak issues; advises proper course of action; and
makes special readings, as necessary.

Troubleshoots meters and electronic end points for automated meter reading (AMR) systems performs needed
repairs, replacements and other maintenance.

Installs new meters: removes and validates old meters.

Assists with Account Service Representative job duties and backflow preventer cartridge replacement as needed.

Operates a personal computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data, utilizing word processing, database, Internet, e-mail, or other software; and operates general office or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.

Operates or uses various equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments
operates and maintains meter reading equipment, calibrating tools, vactron and other tools and equipment.

Communicates with supervisor, employees, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate
work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

Additional Functions:
Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required, supplemented by 1 year of work history in any field

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities: Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential
functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary
