Overview: The Mid-Level Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security. This role involves overseeing server operations, managing database users, and handling reporting services. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server database management. Extensive experience in server operations. Proficient in database user management. Skilled in reporting services management. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance. Oversee server operations, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Manage database users, including setting up accounts, permissions, and roles. Handle reporting services, including the creation and management of reports. Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance. Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies. Ensure database security by implementing appropriate measures and monitoring for potential threats. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly. Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to support database-related projects and initiatives. Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL Server updates, technologies, and best practices. Skills and abilities: Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server. Excellent understanding of server operations and database management. Experience with database user management and security. Proficient in reporting services and report creation. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity. Certifications: Relevant Microsoft SQL Server certifications are a plus but not required.
