Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with over 10 years of expertise to manage and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our network systems, with a strong emphasis on Palo Alto firewall management in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including upgrades, patches, and configurations.
• Convert layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID for enhanced security and application control.
• Create and implement custom appID configurations to meet organizational needs.
• Utilize expertise in networking protocols, devices, firewalls, routers, and VPNs to ensure robust network performance.
• Monitor network performance using industry-standard network monitoring tools.
• (Preferred) Manage Checkpoint firewalls in an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environment.
• (Preferred) Deploy Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment.
• (Preferred) Leverage Python scripts to automate network management tasks for improved efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Extensive experience managing Palo Alto infrastructure (upgrades, patches, configurations).
• Proven ability to create appID configurations
• Proficiency in networking protocols, firewalls, routers, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance.
• (Preferred) Experience managing Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment.
• (Preferred) Experience deploying Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment.
• (Preferred) Proficiency in Python scripting for task automation.
