POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physician Recruiter is a full-time position responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment of ophthalmologists across multiple states. This role requires a strategic, experienced recruiter with a strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and physician hiring practices. The position is benefits-eligible and requires a minimum of 5 years of physician recruiting experience, with a preference for candidates who have at least 3 years of experience in ophthalmology and multi-state recruiting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead full-cycle recruitment for ophthalmologists, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.

Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to understand hiring needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.

Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, sourcing platforms, and industry events.

Manage candidate experience and communication throughout the recruitment process.

Maintain accurate records and workflows in Paylocity , the organization’s applicant tracking system.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.

Represent the organization at physician recruitment events, conferences, and job fairs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of physician recruiting experience .
  • Proven success in sourcing and hiring physicians in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of physician employment models and healthcare industry dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Paylocity or similar ATS platforms.
  • Travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience recruiting in ophthalmology .
  • Multi-state recruiting experience .
  • Familiarity with physician compensation models, contracts, and onboarding processes.
  • Understanding of immigration processes (e.g., J-1, H-1B visas) is a plus.
  • Experience with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Doximity, and PracticeLink.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
