Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Product Strategist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our largest clients located in Detroit, MI!

Title: Product Strategist
Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite 3 days per week T/W/Th)
Role Type: W2 Contract-to-Hire

Job/Role Description

Strategist familiar with energy grid and ability to produce business case options to advance projects, risk analysis, etc.

• Leads overall investigations to identify underlying issues/root cause, generate potential solutions. - - CI/Continuous Improvement background would be preferred (to help with process mapping, problem solving, setting up huddles/regular meetings/etc.)
• Works with program sponsor, product owner, and client stakeholders to prioritize issues and potential solutions.
• Facilitates investigation across capital delivery lifecycle.
• Facilitates workshops to understand scope and alignment to company vision and value.
• Supports continued refinement of value story planning and scheduling improvements with program sponsor and product owner. (Process flow problem solver skills like an industrial engineer)
• Application experience would be preferred not required. We have basic Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Office, etc.) that would be the "baseline", and additional experience with Maximo, Primarvera, Microsoft PowerBI, would be a plus.

Overview of Delivery commitments: 

• Request for Shutdown process
• Adjacent Hazards process
• Improving handoffs between the Engineering, Design, and Construction phases
• Standing up Project Engineers
• Scheduling pilot for OH construction, long term have scheduling capability within LTP
• Standing up a new student intern program and all of the processes/systems for administrative support/execution
• Improve engineering design reviews and schedule adherence with Vendors (e.g., Leidos, MES, B&M). Experience with these applications preferred not required
• Short term resource planning (field crews required for project execution, # of crews per day, total hours, remaining hours, # of hours ahead/behind
• Experience with Construction planning experience with field personnel is helpful
• Engineering Capacity Deployment, particularly improving handoffs between the Engineering, Design, and Construction phases
