Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Engineer to lead and support the execution of building systems projects. This role requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong background in HVAC, security systems, and building automation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Lead resolution of project issues through RFIs, field surveys, and direct communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming requests from customers, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
  • Review hardware submittals, assist with basic programming, and support equipment startup.
  • Maintain engineering standards for hardware and software design.
  • Support project managers with contract documentation, drawing coordination, and material procurement.
  • Utilize operator workstations, develop graphics, and participate in software development.
  • Conduct field startup and commissioning using standard procedures.
  • Use engineering tools such as Studio 360 and Prometheus.
  • Serve as lead field engineer on multiple small to medium-sized projects.
  • Review field sketches for change order implications and provide feedback.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices and manage networking hardware.
  • Develop or modify sequences of operations based on project needs.
  • Ensure design activities align with construction documents.
  • Update and maintain redline drawings and collaborate on procurement activities.
  • Validate hardware installations and ensure timely material delivery.
  • Install, replace, and re-commission devices, equipment, and software.
  • Troubleshoot communication, software, and hardware issues.
  • Participate in quality control and safety audits.
  • Coordinate with contractors for equipment installation and maintain tracking documentation.
  • Set up ISP connections and remote site access.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Project Engineer or Systems Engineering role
  • Proficiency in HVAC and security system installations
  • Strong understanding of building systems and control technologies
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and networking
  • Experience with engineering tools such as Studio 360 and Prometheus
