Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit high-value frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company's R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity: As a key member of our dynamic Biology Team, you will:
- Independently perform key experiments to enhance our mechanistic understanding of novel anti-cancer agents
- Maintain cultures of multiple human cancer cell lines to support experimental efforts
- Perform various cell-based assays to interrogate effects of inhibitors on signaling pathways
- Perform microplate-based quantitative assays using reagent kits and with automated liquid handlers
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, maintain detailed records, and present results regularly at internal meetings
- Collaborate with team members to generate novel insights into RAS-driven cancer biology
Required Experience, Skills, and Education: - Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant biopharmaceutical industry research experience in cell biology/cellular assay development and understanding of cancer biology and related signal pathways.
- Deep expertise with mammalian cell culture across a variety of cell types (primary and immortalized) and growth conditions. Demonstrated experience handling (maintaining, passaging, plating) multiple cell lines at once.
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of cellular assay techniques (including, but not limited to, cell viability assay, Western Blot, Alphascreen, ELISA, MSD) suitable for target identification and/or compound characterization.
- Rigorous, quantitative, and keen to maximize efficiency.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent record-keeping skills, and calm under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate collaboration with project and departmental teams.
- Innovative, proactive team-player with high energy who will thrive in our fast-paced drug discovery and development environment.
Preferred Skills: - Incucyte cell-based assays.
- CRISPR-mediated gene editing and RNAi-mediated gene knockdown.
- Flow cytometry, including cell staining, processing, and data analysis.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $100,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
