WORK LOCATION: Please note that this position offers a generous relocation package to our Sargent & Lundy office locations in either Albuquerque or Los Alamos. You must be willing and able to relocate to one of these cities. Generous relocation assistance is provided. This is a mid-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Electrical Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
- Lead Electrical design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
- Responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings and engineering reports
- Apply electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
- Produce Procurement Specifications and Construction Specifications (Electrical sections)
- Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns
- Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify. - BSEE or MSEE degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program (PE strongly desired)
- 5 or more years of progressive responsible experience in electrical engineering in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial, or Navy)
- Experience with producing engineering designs for low to medium voltage electrical distribution systems and instrumentation wiring; Experience with more than one type of system a plus
- Field Engineering and Construction Experience is a plus
- Experience with NEC, UL508, codes and IES Lighting Handbook
- Proficiency in load flow and/or arc flash analysis software such as ETAP and/or SKM Power Tools
- Proficiency in lighting analysis software such as Virtual and AGI32
- Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance

Compensation Range $101,000 - $120,000
