Job Title: SOC Analyst (Nights)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic cybersecurity team as a SOC Analyst. As a SOC Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information assets and ensuring the integrity of our security infrastructure. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for career growth and hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Monitor security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in responding to and investigating security incidents, including analysis and documentation of findings.
• Escalate Investigations accordingly.

1. Security Tools Utilization:

• Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools to analyze and correlate security events.
• Work with various security technologies that support solutions such as MDR, EDR, SAT, VM and AV.

1. Security Documentation and Reporting:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security processes.
• Review reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends for management review.

1. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to share security insights and best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding security incidents and issues.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Actively enrolled in higher education and certifications in cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Pentest+, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and other cybersecurity technologies.
• Understanding of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies.
• Awareness of emerging threats and cybersecurity trends.
