We collaborate with top-tier creators and emerging talent to shape the future of true crime media across platforms.

Overview:

We’re looking for a platform-native Social Media Coordinator who knows how to make content move, spark conversation, and grow a loyal community around true crime. This role is ideal for someone who lives on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram and understands the nuances of storytelling, timing, and tone across each.

You’ll be responsible for identifying trends, breaking news, and viral moments, then helping shape and distribute Crime House content in ways that maximize engagement and discoverability. This is a fast-paced, content-first role that blends creative execution with community awareness. 

Essential Functions:

Content Strategy & Creation

• Identify and monitor breaking news stories and trending true crime topics
• Post content daily across social channels such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X
• Clip, caption, and repackage show segments for each platform
• Create compelling visuals and graphics using tools like Canva; bonus if you can edit video with tools like CapCut
• Design thumbnails, memes, still graphics, and quote cards that stop the scroll
• Ensure alignment of the posting schedule with audience habits, cultural moments and high engagement times.
• Help build a sense of community and loyalty around the brand

Creative Collaboration

• Work with producers and creators to develop social-first assets
• Help brainstorm content formats, hooks, and platform-specific creative
• Track performance and audience behavior to guide future content
• Maintain a consistent and high-quality visual identity across all content
• Adapt assets for each platform while keeping brand integrity strong

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 2–4 years experience in social media, content marketing, or digital publishing
• Deep fluency in social platforms TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X
• Proven ability to grow and engage audiences through short-form content
• Strong instincts around tone, timing, and visual storytelling
• Experience working in true crime, entertainment, or creator-led brands is a plus
• Understanding of true crime audiences and how to communicate responsibly around sensitive topics
• Experience with short-form video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar tools a big plus)
• Proficiency with Canva required; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment
• Strong writing and visual editing (e.g., captions, thumbnails, memes, etc.)
• Proficiency with Canva is required, and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or other graphic design tools is a plus.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Comfortable managing real-time content and platform shifts
• Must be able to cover sensitive or emotionally challenging subject matter
• Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, or weekend activity as needed
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a safe and prudent manner
• Ability to work and communicate well with other employees, management, individuals well-known to the public, creators, and studios
• Ability to perform work utilizing manual dexterity of the hands
• Ability to reach above and below shoulders, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, climb, kneel, push and/or pull, and twist
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $47k-52k
