SUMMARY The Grand Sierra is looking for energetic and customer service minded individuals to join the Spa. The Spa's nail technician guarantees guests are served in a warm, accommodating and professional manner ensuring total guest satisfaction. Guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire department and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Analyze patrons' nails to determine and recommend appropriate treatment.
- Treat clients in professional setting with strong effort placed towards providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
- Demonstrate, educate and sell related retail products.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment.
- Consult with clients about any health concerns, allergies and products they are currently using to determine any contraindications.
- Perform all nail care related treatments on spa menu according to treatment protocol.
- Prepare products, supplies and equipment as stated in protocols.
- Achieve weekly retail sales goals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILTIES - High School Diploma required.
- Hold a current Nail Technician License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing nail care services in salon environment.
- Knowledge in removable and application of gel polish.
- Maintain all inventory items and supplies and communicate needs in advance.
- Provide special assistance to all guest and groups, immediately take care of any customer complaints.
- Prior experience working with the public preferred.
- Must have ability to maintain composure under pressure situations.
- Flexibility of shift and hours is necessary; willing to work evenings until 9pm.
- Must be willing to learn and work in additional areas.
- Must train in all related treatments as created.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others. Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
