About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Packaging Engineer to join our client's team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing packaging solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of their customers. This position is ideal for someone passionate about packaging materials, equipment, and customer-focused problem-solving.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop innovative packaging solutions using film, blisters, trays, corrugate and more.
• Work closely with packaging machines (primarily HFFS/VFFS), packers, and fillers, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Create packaging line layouts.
• Engage directly with customers, gaining insights into their packaging needs and presenting tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop packaging systems aligned with customer requirements.
• Work directly with long-term clients, while nurturing those established relationships.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in packaging design, with a strong understanding of film, corrugated materials, and print/ink applications.
• Familiarity with packaging equipment, including (but not limited to) vertical and horizontal form-fill-seal machines, packers, and fillers.
• AutoCAD proficiency for creating 2D line drawings and supporting engineering projects.
• Exceptional communication and customer interaction skills-you're not just designing packaging, you're shaping solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment, ideally with food and snack packaging experience.
