Staff Software Engineer - Computational Chemistry/Molecular Dynamics Job Description R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Staff Software Engineer in Computational Chemistry and Molecular Dynamics in Philadelphia . Your main responsibilities as a Staff Software Engineer include: Building and maintaining complex computational chemistry workflows for drug discovery. Collaborating with computational chemists and CADD scientists to productionize new computational methods for molecular property prediction. Scaling data infrastructure to handle billions of datapoints and hundreds of thousands of parallel QM and molecular dynamics jobs. What we are looking for in a Staff Software Engineer : A deep thinker who reasons from first principles, balances attention to detail with architectural thinking, and has investigative curiosity to find root causes of problems. Comfortable working across all levels of the software stack, building intuitive APIs and libraries for computational chemists. Experience in computational chemistry and drug discovery fields. Proven experience in writing production code and driving projects to completion.
