Shift: Description: Sterile Processing Tech Ambulatory Surgery Position Purpose Central service technicians, also called sterile processing technicians or central service (CS) professionals, play a critical role in preventing infection by sterilizing, cleaning, processing, assembling, storing, and distributing medical supplies.
What you will do: - Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes instruments and other materials according to prescribed procedures and techniques.
- Stores, rotates and insures the instruments and other items are labeled correctly.
- Distributes clean and retrieves soiled instruments, rental equipment and other materials on a scheduled or emergency basis
Minimum Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Central Service Technician course preferred
- At least 1 year of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization.
- Computer knowledge
