Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.

Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals

Major Function and Scope: Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.

· Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards

· Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs

· Selects and stages tubes for winder operation

· Doffs off finished yarn packages as required

· Maintains daily production records

· Performs other duties as required

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.

· Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred

Competencies: Describe the specific skills required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.

· Ability to read and write numbers.

· Pay attention to details.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

· Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations

· Able to communicate effectively with peers, maintenance, and management
