We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Integration Engineer SSM for ISS Visiting Vehicles to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX . If selected you will: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Communications and Tracking Sub-Systems of the ISS Visiting Vehicle Sub- Systems Assess design compliance of the ISS Level 2 requirements to commercial providers Maintain and update ISS Level 2 requirements including Verification Requirements and Interface Requirements Documents Track and maintain requirement documents on task schedule Support the ISS verification activities including verification objectives and procedures, end to end testing development and reviewing Verification Completion Notices (VCNs) Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance Perform other duties as required Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. On location position - situational telework only Knowledge and understanding of digital and analog RF communication systems such as RF basics, radio propagation, antennas, and modulation Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies including model based systems engineering Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection.
