Les Olson Company is one of the fastest-growing technology service providers in the West. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Generalist to join our team. This HR professional focuses on talent acquisition and broader HR operations, employee engagement, and compliance. The ideal candidate provides proactive, versatile support across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance, and engagement. This role collaborates with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, manage postings, screen candidates, and coordinate onboarding, while helping resolve employee concerns and support performance processes.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staffing: Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs, develop job descriptions, manage postings (ApplicantPro), screen applicants, and coordinate onboarding.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for HR-related concerns, promote a positive workplace culture, assist in resolving issues, and redirect payroll-related inquiries as needed.
  • Performance Management: Support performance reviews, help train managers and employees on best practices, assist with performance improvement plans, and ensure descriptions and compensation data are reviewed during appraisal cycles.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs; collaborate with department heads to improve employee growth opportunities.
  • Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR regulations in Utah, Nevada, and other operating states; assist in implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures.
  • Employee Engagement: Contribute to initiatives that foster engagement and retention; share internal updates using HR systems such as Namely.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of HR generalist or related experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with HRIS and recruiting platforms (e.g., ApplicantPro or similar).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn the inner workings of the business.
