The individual will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing our organizational initiatives by supporting our team with technical writing. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and effective communication to address customer requirements and drive successful project outcomes. Technical Writer/Editor: Provides technical writing and editing support to customers who need assistance generating or modifying the client's processes, procedures, technical reports and any other written output required in accordance with established or approved organizational requirements. (i.e., Master Incident Management Plan, recurring monthly reports, root cause analysis, security updates etc.). This position offers a REMOTE environment. Responsibilities Compose polished technical reference materials, training materials, proposals, and policy documents Document and depict complex project ideas, business requirements, and business process flows Analyze and document technology products, applications, and tools, such that their use and functionality can be effectively conveyed to users Coordinate the professional production of written technical materials and ensure quality control over their appearance and timely completion Propose and facilitate meetings to obtain critical documentation needs, and consult with teams on system usage, tools and templates, and process design Maintain archives of prepared technical documentation Qualifications / Skills Skill in technical writing. Advanced writing, interpersonal, and conceptual skills Skill in writing about facts and ideas in a clear, convincing, and organized manner. Skill in communicating with all levels of management (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience). Skill to remain aware of evolving technical infrastructures. Required Skills Demonstrated expertise and experience with Microsoft Office applications Ability to develop, update, and/or maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). Preferred Experience and Certifications Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy. Knowledge of the organization's information classification program and procedures for information compromise. Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles and organizational requirements (relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, non-repudiation). Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles. Knowledge of the basic operation of computers. Knowledge of the operations and processes for incident, problem, and event management. Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles. Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cybersecurity lapses. Recommended Qualifications Senior level positions require seven (7) years of relevant cyber-security experience in business, publishing, or engineering technical writing or editing and an advanced degree in a technical/cyber-related field. Direct experience or directly relevant certifications may substitute for the academic credentials.
