Description: You will be the In-Country Depot Operations Field Engineer for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile Defense system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Our team is responsible for supporting the successful execution of all maintenance and sustainment activities for the THAAD system, ensuring its optimal performance and reliability.
What You Will Be Doing As the In-Country Depot Operations Field Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting repairs, modifications, and implementation of program initiatives for fielded THAAD systems and related subassemblies. You will work closely with the depot engineering team to analyze and improve the sustainment system product, from concept to disposal.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating with the MTSD Coordinator to determine hardware maintenance and repair requirements
Facilitating and coordinating repair, rework, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and acceptance testing of mechanical, electrical, and structural subsystems
Performing work in compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, test requirements, and quality assurance requirements
Documenting and updating repair workflows, progress, and results in maintenance data collection systems
Providing technical feedback on electro-mechanical components to promote reliability improvements
Managing and maintaining maintenance, inventory, and repair logs for all Work in Progress (WIP) assets
Executing advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair activities for THAAD systems and components
Ensuring all repair parts are successfully entered into the KSA supply accountability system

This position is in Grand Prairie, TX.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position requires a current Secret security clearance.
Basic Qualifications: 3-5 years of relevant experience working in Field Service and / or Depot Operations (or similar position)
Previous experience with the THAAD system (or similar system)
An active U.S. Department of Defense SECRET Security Clearance.
Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government Property
Ability to lift 35 pounds
Ability to work with hazardous materials
A valid U.S. Passport with no restrictions on travel
Willingness to perform these duties in KSA for the total duration of this assignment
Ability to meet KSA Iqama (residence permit/visa) requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Candidate must be able to maintain a good working relationship with the customer
Candidate may also be required to take a post-offer, pre-employment physical to determine deployability capabilities as defined by the contract
Desired Skills: Technical engineering degree in appropriate field commensurate to assignment and / or equivalent military background
Previous experience as a THAAD or Patriot Field Service Technician, Contractor Logistics Support Technician and / or Depot Maintenance Engineer
- Demonstrated ability in interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, schematics, interface specifications, and system level requirements
- Demonstrated ability in applying troubleshooting and fault detection/isolation methods
Comp TIA Security + Certified
Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, cable-and-harness, and circuit card assemblies (CCA)
Ability to interpret industry standards and military specifications
Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Certification
Previous experience working with the KSA armed forces
Previous experience working with military supply operations information management systems (e.g. MAXIMO)
Previous experience executing maintenance management in a military environment (US Army, foreign military, or similar)
Basic knowledge of:
- Depot Test Equipment operation, maintenance and calibration
- Depot material inventory management concepts/processes
- Networks (e.g. LAN, WAN, IP address schemes)
- Unix and Linux
- Electrical/mechanical aptitude
- Hydraulic operations
- Army Supply System
- Army Sustainment (i.e. Depot Maintenance) concepts/processes
- Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation Requirements
Other desired military (MOS) training:
- 14A / 140A / 140E / 14E / 14H / 14T

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
