Job Description American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel First Assist Technician for a travel job in Richmond, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements ~ Specialty: First Assist Technician ~ Discipline: Allied Health Professional ~ Start Date: ASAP ~ Duration: 13 weeks ~36 hours per week ~ Shift: 12 hours, days ~ Employment Type: Travel   Travel Certified Surgical First Assistant (SA/RNFA) Location: CJW Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, VA Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Unit: Operating Room – 16 ORs Join a high-volume OR team supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including robotics, ortho, neuro, urology, plastics, and general surgery. Key Requirements: ~ Must have: ~ Surgical Assisting degree from an accredited program ~ Virginia Surgical Assistant License (or proof of application) ~ BLS certification ~2+ years hospital OR experience ~ Robotic and orthopedic experience Preferred: RNFA with First Assist training and RN license Neurosurgery experience Details: ~1:1 staffing with RN, SA, and surgical tech per OR ~ EMR: Meditech ~ Call rotation: ~2 shifts/week (includes nights/weekends) ~ Scrub color: Navy (provided) Best fit: Team player with strong technical skills and flexibility.
