Volunteer Opportunity Description:

Do you have the desire to positively contribute to someone's career journey? The Career & Job Services Division is seeking a Volunteer Coach with a background in graphic design or a similar creative field. The Volunteer Coach would assist job seekers with formatting personal branding materials, networking & portfolio documents, and business cards. A volunteer coach meets with a member of KCPL's Northern Kentucky Accountability Group at one of our 3 branches or via Zoom.

The volunteer should be willing to supply their photo, email, & background information for posting on the NKYAG Volunteer Coaches web site.

Qualifications:

Professional experience utilizing CANVA, Publisher, PPT and MS Word to help job seekers prepare formatting or resumes, marketing plans, core skills or spotlight documents.

Skills needed for this Volunteer Opportunity:

Ability to schedule and conduct meetings (with program participants) via Zoom or TEAMS, or in person at the Erlanger, Independence or Covington Libraries.

The ability to interact with program participants in a positive and constructive manner

Proficiency in using MS Word, Canva, or Publisher as design tools.

Design skills conducive to personal branding and creative storytelling.

Days and Hours Needed:

All appointments based on coach's schedule during regular library hours.

Time Commitment is approximately 1-5 hours per month. Kenton County Public Library - Volunteers
