Volunteer: Marketing Director - Press Release PR Media Relations

Social Media Ministries is seeking a volunteer Marketing Director with a focus on press releases, PR, and media relations. The organization aims to reach the next generation with messages from the Bible. We post weekly sermons on YouTube and social media, and publish daily devotionals via our Ministry Minute. Our content is also available on blog platforms and podcasts. We are looking for someone who can help with marketing, branding, fundraising, and social media support. This is a volunteer opportunity.

Overview

Location: Burnsville, MN (remote opportunities may be considered). This role collaborates with the team to expand awareness, engage audiences, and amplify our message locally, nationally, and worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute branding and marketing campaigns to raise awareness of Social Media Ministries.
• Coordinate media relations efforts with radio stations, news outlets, blogs, influencers, and other media channels.
• Craft and distribute press releases and other communications that promote sermons, devotionals, and ministry initiatives.
• Support fundraising and social media initiatives to grow audience engagement and support for programs.
• Collaborate with volunteers and staff to create consistent messaging across platforms.

Qualifications

• Active in the marketing industry with experience in branding campaigns at local, national, or international levels.
• Experience in media relations, including working with radio stations, news outlets, blogs, and influencers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work as a volunteer and commit to the church/ministry's goals and values.
