Responsibilities and Expectations:
We are looking for a talented welder to join our team. As a Welder for IPS you will apply innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and customer focus to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gearboxes, and related equipment while supporting our continuous improvement process culture. Responsibilities may include:
\n - Position, layout, align and fit components together for industrial enclosures.
\n - Use a measuring tape to read blueprints to specifications.
\n - May assemble parts by bolting or riveting.
\n - Assist with assembly for the various departments as needed.
\n - Bolting and assembly of various items.
\n - Help with expandable and container work.
\n - Use of bandsaw with an automated feeder.
\n - List and verify operations.
\n - Adhere to all company polices.
\n - Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc.)
\n - Keep work area clean and organized.
\n - Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor.
\n - All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:
\n - The ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
\n - Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
\n - Mechanical skills and prior experience working with hand tools desired.
\n - Performing the task as required.
