We are looking for the right individual to join our vibrant, growing, multicultural church family as our Youth/ Worship pastor. The ideal candidate has experience working with Youth & worship ministry in a similar size church.

Youth Pastor: for (ages 11-18)

(Youth Pastor) OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a committed Christian leader with a passion for working with & discipling young people with the gospel. The ideal candidate is an experienced minister who can relate well with youth, parents, and volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and execute a strategic plan for the youth ministry ages 11 to 18 yrs.

· Regularly report to the church’s leadership about developments in the youth ministry.

· Reach out to unchurched youth in the community, engage them with the gospel, and envision them with Kingdom values.

· Recruit, develop, and deploy new volunteers for the youth ministry.

· Develop/Find a Biblical program taking into consideration the full counsel of God’s Word and the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental needs of the youth in our community ensuring they are consistent with the church’s doctrinal stand.

· Oversee all youth conferences and or retreats that the church’s youth participate in.

· Work with other church leaders to find ministry opportunities for youth in the broader church family.

· Participate in all staff meetings and prayer meetings.

· Be a Team player working in unity with all other staff and volunteers of the church ministry to achieve the common goal of advancing the Kingdom of GOD in our city, province, country, & world.

Requirements: (but not limited to...)

· Understanding of & willingness to serve within the doctrinal stand of the church.

· At least 2 years experience ministering to youth & youth ministry volunteers. (Preferred but not mandatory)

· Strong ability to lead people of varying ethnicities, socio-economic levels, and generations.

· A desire to teach and mentor youth in biblical truth.

· A growing Christian faith and character.

· A calling to pastoral Youth/Worship ministry.

· Must support the church (FGA) in tithes & offerings.

· A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).

Worship Pastor

RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to...)

· Oversee all musical Ministries in the church including the worship tech team.

· Work with the Lead Pastor to plan the worship services.

· Set schedule for Worship Teams for each service.

· Develop a process to regularly identify & enlist new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry.

· Shepherd, train, manage, and care for the Worship &Tech teams.

· Attend all church staff meetings & prayer meetings.

· Work with young-adults, youth & children’s ministry leaders to find worship leaders for their group services.

· Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church.

· REQUIREMENTS

· 2 years experience leading worship in a similar church setting is preferred but not mandatory.

· Some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred. Significant skill as a vocalist and instrumentalist.

· Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple styles and generational tastes.

· Have experience leading and managing teams.

· A lifestyle consistent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).

· Must possess an enthusiastic, gentle and humble spirit and be willing to grow and be taught.

· Must support the church (FGA) in tithes & offerings.

· As stated above, this is a full-time position (40 hour/ week min). Hours may vary depending on the schedule of events taking place at FGA.

· All staff will support & honour each other in word and prayers.

· A background check is required of the successful candidate.
