Job Description

Our Mission

At our company, we're redefining travel insurance by putting people at the heart of what we do. For too long, travel insurance has been a stiff, outdated process that hasn't met the needs of modern travelers. We're changing that by connecting travelers to tailored insurance solutions that provide peace of mind with the right coverage at the right price—where and when they need it. Backed by some of the largest partners in the travel industry, we make buying and using travel insurance simple, seamless, and genuinely enjoyable.

The Role

At our company, we put the customer's journey at the forefront, both literally and figuratively. A key part of that journey lives in our technology platform, and as a Travel Insurance Program Specialist, you will play an integral role in helping us shape and optimize our offerings. This role provides an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in product development, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder support to create and improve travel insurance products.

You'll work closely with multiple insurance providers, partners, and internal teams to enhance program effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction. Your role will focus on ensuring our products are competitive, compliant, and continually evolving to meet the needs of travelers.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development

Gain a deep understanding of our insurance products, pricing, and underwriting processes.
Develop and implement new travel insurance product forms, including policies, endorsements, and schedules.
Manage filing and maintenance of rule manuals and assist with rate development processes.
Prepare filing submissions using the appropriate software (e.g., SERFF, IRFS) and create supporting documentation such as letters and variable explanations.
Track and respond to rate, rule, and form filings in accordance with deadlines.
Maintain thorough documentation of all implemented product changes.
Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and compare program effectiveness against competitors.

Product Compliance

Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to design competitive, innovative, and compliant travel insurance products.
Work closely with carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory standards and are clear to consumers.
Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for internal teams.
Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory agencies, ensuring all filings are in line with required standards and company policies.

Essentials

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Program Specialist or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and the NAIC System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filings (SERFF).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
